If you're going to spend a ton of money, spend it wisely, and from a business standpoint as well as on-field play.

Compare Saban and Miles- not the playing style, but the business sense of it: both coaches won big here, both won national titles. Saban was "on the ladder" here, he was always seen as the next NFL guy, and he left after 5 years. Miles- you had to fire him to get rid of him. Both got big contracts for their success, but because Miles wasn't going anywhere, we saw his salary drop back down to about average, while Saban commanded top dollar to keep him.

Apply this to Herman and Jimbo- Herman's also "on the ladder", and if he brings us back to the top, he's still going to be a young guy that the NFL will chase.
Jimbo seems like he's not looking at the NFL, and if he comes here from Fla St, it'll be because he wants to, and (like Miles turned out), he likely will stay a long time, either retire here or be run off.

If you're going to spend $15+ million to get someone in, get the guy you can keep.

I'm all in on Jimbo and Herman You don't want to miss here. Jimbo knows the program and terrain of Louisiana. It's a great hire in so many ways.

I disagree completely. Herman is a young brilliant mind in CFB. Jimbo has done great things as well. Another factor no one is mentioning is money. Jimbo has a pretty hefty buyout and Herman does not. It would be considered a lateral move on Jimbos part to leave FSU......meaning it would take alot of money to get him to leave FSU. For less of a buyout we could get Herman, who would be considered as taking a step up in the coaching world. I think Herman will be the first call.

Totally agree with all of that

The only reason Jimbo isn't here will be if Saban wins this year and Jimbo ends up at Bama

Its pretty well known that the Fishers still have very many close friends in this area. And, many have said there is a doctor his son still sees in the area as well. I wouldn't be shocked if Candie would be fine with moving back here...they were here for years and really enjoyed being here. And now he would be king be as our coach? He may turn us down...but, I think he should definitely be our first choice.

Herman is boom or bust. We're prisoners of the moment. People fail to accept that guys like Mullen, Sumlin, and Peterson were the same coaching prospect years ago that Herman is today.

Very true. I don't think LSU takes a risk like that unless they can't close on a more proven guy (like Fisher).

This. If Aranda is going to stay, Herman is the hire. Herman would greatly improve the offense and Aranda seems to already be getting the Defense were it needs to be. As mentioned above, It would also cost the program a ton less money for what I think is an equal hire. JMO. I would be very happy to get either.

The doctor that manages Ethan's Fanconi anemia is in Minnesota. They go there once a year for blood marrow biopsies or as needed for any serious issues.

The doctor the see for routine care and tests every three months is at Shands in Gainesville.

He wasn't diagnosed until 2011, after the Fishers were already in Tallahassee.

They started their foundation for FA and it's become a big part of Tallahassee and the FSU community.
