This is a one coach search, guys. Alleva's backup plan is another Brinks truck in Jimbo's driveway. There's no need to keep bringing up these wildcard coaches and all of this nonsense. There's only one coach Alleva and the committee wants and it's Fisher.

They're going to Tallahassee towards the end of the season and they're not getting back on that plane without Jimbo being the HC.

The only Brinks truck we are unloading is in Houston.

Well that's silly. Unless Jimbo figures out how to win 4 more titles at the end of this season, he's got no business being the highest paid coach in CFB.

This.... I like Jimbo, but he shouldn't be the highest paid coach

You're going to be disappointed. Herman isn't coming to LSU.

At least we got a head start on Auburn. They will fire their coach at years end.

If you pay him best coach in the world salary you're going to expect best coach in the world results. Jimbo's a fine coach but good luck with that

The LSU brass is comfortable with Jimbo. There's no doubt in my mind he is the main target. Herman to LSU is message board and media hype.

Jimbo is a safer hire. Herman is boom or bust. We're prisoners of the moment. People fail to accept that guys like Mullen, Sumlin, and Peterson were the same coaching prospect years ago that Herman is today.

Hahahaha. This just made my day. I was actually thinking about this yesterday. Whoever the next HC is, if they win a NC in their first couple of years, it will be Miles' recruits. Holy shite this post made my day. Thank you.

Jimbo is a good fit here.. He can coach qbs and recruit. Coaches lose games so just because jimbo has lost a few here and there means nothing. He is a great offensive coach and yes he would probably win about as many as miles did but the difference is he would develop qbs who could win the big games and that's al we need him to do. Win a few titles and contend almost every year. Put a good offensive product on the field. Just because he doesn't run the spread doesn't mean he won't be dynamic offensively.

Miles couldn't seem to do that with his recruits. I'd be more than ok with someone else getting it done.

I'm not gonna be one of those that says "my sources are saying" or acts like an insider. I'm very confident that Fisher is the coach LSU is going to pursue and that they have already had discussions with his his agent.

This is pretty much my thinking too. Herman would be a great hire, but Jimbo's done it already, is familiar with the university and the area quite intimately, and his university is literally so cheap it wouldn't give him a raise after he almost left last season.

It's jimbo.
