EJ Manuel was a 5 star QB along with Jameis Winston. If you watch Christian Ponder, he was average at best with FSU. I have no idea how Ponder got a first round grade. Then Jamarcus Russell had the strongest arm I'd ever seen and was 6'5 240 and could run a bit while he was here. He was a high ranked recruit who was a 1st round draft pick.
I'm not saying Jimbo wouldn't be a great hire, or that he needs already very talented QBs, I just feel like Herman is the next great HC, and would make LSU way better than Jimbo would.
