FSU has out recruited LSU for 2 decades. He has won 1 in a conference where not one team is remotely close in talent. They have struggled to beat bad teams. People piss on Les for this. He also has let Winston on a long leash. Something people again piss on Les for not disciplining players. Team Vote ring a bell?

You call art briles...

For sustained continued success whoever would come in would have to be experienced enough to retain key members of the staff (chief, wilson, Henry, Raymond) who may not want to work for a up and comer. Briles does 5-7 years (he's 58) and that allows time for a LSU guy to grow (wilson, Tolbert, Raymond)

Briles with Harris and those receivers would be exciting brand of football...but he'll need a DC like chief.

Who knows, an offense like that may put to much pressure on our defense. What team that runs a HUNH offense actually have a decent defense?

Why does everyone think Del Rio would be successful on the college level. He hasn't been on a campus in years and didnt exactly kill it in the NFL as a head coach.

Gary Patterson should be the first person alleva calls.

Gundy and Todd graham are next on my list.

Petrino will never happen but it is fun to dream about what he could achieve with our offensive talent.

I'd love Jimbo, but this season is a perfect example of why it'd make little sense to leave. Dominate a league of mediocre teams, secure playoff spot

Hell fricking no. Butch is a fricking retard that can't manage his timeouts correctly. Plus he has a retard hair cut.

Do you all think that LSU could lure away Brian Kelly from Notre Dame? I think he could do very well at LSU?

As for Tressel, he would embrace the LSU traditions - he would be great with the alumni and fan base. He truly is a good guy.

Does Kelly already have one of those lifetime contracts ND gives out after showing minimal success ?

tressel would be awesome but i doubt alleva has the balls to make that hire.

i doubt kelly leaves nd unless it's for the nfl down the road.

well i mean we kind of got to see that in 2011. arkansas was pretty bad arse (LSU and Bama were just more badass)

but petrino is done. it's over

i like how people are coming around to my boy todd graham. some people still poo poo the idea. hiis main appeal, if les were to leave this offseason, is that he's a merc who is known to jump jobs, so he's a legit candidate. he is actually a defensive guy who isn't scared of offense. he's turned ASU into a solid program, so there is a track record in a major conference.

also, he worked under kragthorpe and i don't think there is bad blood so that could ease a transition for the staff. may help lead to retaining our key assistants for a year or 2 until we sort everything out

*ETA: if les were to leave, we'd be in a tough spot to hire a coach. TG is a realistic guy who has BCS-level success. if we didn't go for TG we'd have to go for long-shots (jimbo) or gamble on small conference guys with similar resumes to graham BEFORE he went to a BCS conference

Nah, people on this site assure me that LSU is on par with NFL teams and would win championships every year with anybody but Les.

Well he uh....did some stuff. Rumored family ties. Supposedly interviewed him but didn't have permission or something.

What other family ties to the SEC does he have? His daughter is at Alabama. His son was a walkon but transferred to Oregon State.
