Put that in perspective.

Steve Ensminger was Coach O option 1 and he said no, and O had to "look around" at other guys before asking Ensminger again and even then Ensminger had to think about it before finally accepting.

He may turn out to do well, but the scenario you listed is real and it's scary.

Such passion and desire for the job.

This is a job that takes hours upon hours of work. So we basically force a guy that doesn't want that to do it.

Brilliant!

We might have the worst coaching staff in Louisiana. Think about that.

When you have decision makers that do not want to negotiate and do not want to bid for talent (with the exception of Aranda), then this is what you get - it all started with the firing of Miles with Alleva at the switch. Everything after that almost had to go wrong.

And it has (again, except for Aranda).

I think you have it all wrong. No one else wanted LSU's $1,000,000+ salary. Thank God Steve is a virtuous man who was willing to step in and take the job.

I don't believe it. I think that's a tactic to relieve Ensminger of some pressure.

Ensminger wanted the job and deserves every bit of criticism for working the system to his own personal benefit.

LSU now has an under qualified coach AND an under qualified offensive coordinator.

Probably a decent chunk given he was LSU's top priority.

You can go try to sell that bullshite to the bumpkins in Denham Springs.

This isn't about virtue or loyalty. It's about poor business decisions by the LSU Athletic Department and poor hiring practices.

Yep... and it's not like Ensminger was some sort of offensive Yoda who stepped away from coordinating at the top of his game, and O pulled some kind of coup in making him step up to the plate again.
