There’s a video of him floating around meeting with Lane, I’m sure he’s staying just maybe in a different role

I'm seriously hoping Lane can convince Sam Pittman to fill that hole
. Sam Pittman is living that lake life now. I think he is done with the pressure cooker of P4 coaching. I wouldn't mind if he got John Garrison to follow from Ole Miss.

Blake Baker DC --- will we keep him

Was reported yesterday that Lane wants Baker to stay.

Remains to be seen whether he does but don’t see him leaving unless he gets a decent HC offer

I’d be fine with Lane keeping the entire defensive staff for next year

I bet if Baker stays then there will not be much turnover on the defensive side.

There are reports of Ole Miss coaches following Kiffin to LSU...here is an attempt to fill in some blanks but nothing is official yet.

Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks - Charlie Weis Jr.
Co-offensive coordinator/Tight Ends - Joe Cox
Running Backs -
Offensive Line -
Wide Receivers - George McDonald
Inside WRs - Sawyer Jordan

Defensive Coordinator -
Linebackers -
Defensive Line -
Cornerbacks -
Safeties -

Special Teams -

Recruiting Coordinator -
Strength & Conditioning - Nick Savage
General Manager - Billy Glasscock

Love the list of coaches we have so far. I would love to see Raymond, Peoples, Baker, and Kyle Williams retained as well.

Apparently RB coach was not on jet but is expected to come as well
Kevin Smith

2007 All-American, NCAA Rushing Yards, Touchdown, and Scoring Leader for UCF.

Coached Devin Singletary with Lane at FAU and turned him into the NCAA’s rushing TD leader and had nearly 2,000 rush yards in 2017.

At Ole Miss, we all remember what Quinshon Judkins did before he left for more money at Ohio State. This season, Kewan Lacy is 5th in the NCAA in rushing yards and has 20 TDs as a Sophomore.

Needless to say, we all love Frank, but Kevin Smith is the real deal.

With the new report on Baker can we update this or are we waiting on more information to come out before updating?

Guessing we will have an analyst take care of special teams. Unless Chris Kiffin moves into the Dline or DE role and we lose both Peoples and Williams/Ogeron. If Chris Kiffin is the LBer coach with Blake Baker then we will have an extra coach from this past year on the defensive side.

I hope special teams gets a true special teams coach. It’s to important not to have a dedicated coach who knows what he’s doing.

We did this past year, not sure it was any better. Other then having a better punter.

And to add, I think an analyst for Special teams is the best way to go. Now that analysts can basically do everything a true one of the 10 asst coaches can, no reason to burn a spot on a ST coach. I have heard mixed info on off campus vs. on campus recruiting. But if an analyst can't off campus recruit still that isn't a huge deal on just a kicker/punter.

I agree. Special teams is about the players. Obviously you need a good kicker, punter, and returner to be successful and some players are better at coverage/blocking than others, but it’s my opinion that this is more effort than coaching.

Chris Hilton being a beast as a gunner is talent and effort. Any coach can teach angles and lane responsibility.

Wish we could get Matt Luke from Clemson for OL coach, that would be an even further dagger in the back of Ole Miss...

If Alex Adkins isn't retained, Soloman Thomas probably won't stick around.
