Call me crazy, but I feel like with a new OC, QB, WR/TE and SC coach and our current staff for the remaining positions, we would be solid.

Suggestion: Can the OP be formatted the way the College/NFL Openings thread is?

I'm guessing we'll start hearing of some Notre Dame assistants bailing on Freeman now that Notre Dame is not in the playoffs.

Exactly, which is why I like him and I think if or when he gets his exact players here, he’ll be one of those future DC’s to watch. I know this, if we don’t keep him, he’s going to land at a rival pretty quick imo.
I think we should keep Jones, Davis, Raymond, Baker and McMahon on staff. I think Carter may be someone in the future but I believe we can get someone else there who knows the college recruiting game and can coach em up.
If Davis isn’t kept, it wouldn’t hurt my feelings but the rest I believe can’t get much better? Especially Raymond, Baker and McMahon. I’m bias when it comes to keeping Faulk but he’s definitely landed some great talent here. I’m just not sure about his practice skills and the in game coaching? That’s why we have one of the best HC’s to make those decisions. I’m sure we’ll keep some but how many remains to be seen?

Manny Diaz will be a name you start to see thrown around for DC. Dan Mullen will also be thrown around for OC. Not saying I agree with one or both, but seen a few times Mullens name.

I dislike Dan Mullen with a passion but I would take him as OC in a heartbeat. Just have to surround him with recruiters at the position coach level.

I would love to have Dan Mullen as OC!! With the news of Frank Wilson coming back, it would be awesome for him to be here. He’s great at developing qbs and has great offenses!
