He has done a damn good job at McNeese. Had the balls to go after Wade and got the money to pay him. He just stole the SELA girls coach which looks like a good hire. His first FB coach hire was a dud but he cut ties and brought back Viator which is McNeese’s Winningest coach. Viator will get it turned around. I’m not sure if everyone will like him. He is a natural born salesman type, that’s worked well for McNeese for fund raising it will be a different situation at LSU. Personally I hope he stays at McNeese. LSU first McNeese second for me. LOL

He’s messed up his first football hire and his current has 2 wins this year. Current hire was all they could afford.

I've heard he's staying at UGA.
Not sure if that means he wasn't offered, or (more likely) he had overtures this week and said no thanks already.

Paper thin? The guy was part of the greatest coaching staff in college football history (LSU 2001–04: Saban, Jimbo, Muschamp, Kirby), now runs one of the top athletic departments in the country, and worked his way up from Director of Football Ops under Mark Richt to Deputy AD to AD at Georgia. That’s some pretty thick paper.

Other than the football team not being able to gain traction, mainly because 6 head coaches in 7 years (that’s rough estimate), Schoyer has done an absolutely fantastic job with McNeese.
