Lots of moving pieces: Lots of BS. Lots of anguish.

What spin will coalesce into the prevailing narrative?

Career media guys need to stay "in favor". They have kids and/or bills to pay. Getting into access is a rarity. A long or fortunate haul, they cannot lose. This means they are the way an administration carves out their preferred perspective, in advance of the homeresque-style pressers.

Don't buy it.

There are lots of proxy players on LSU-themed websites, twitter personalities and radio shows.

There are lots of good ole boys giving interviews.

They will be complicit with putting all those moving pieces together in a way which retains their media career posture. They have to.

This time, however, the LSU nation is scorned, and coming off a decade of offensive futility.

We are more than capable of seeing through this smoke.

We are the hugely unhappy undertow which this typical PR chess game is pretending is not of notable concern...much less are they calculating the extent of how things are very freaking different this time.

Massively different.

All we know is that when all the moving pieces are integrated, 2 things DOMINATE:

1) Zero points against Bama in Tiger Stadium by the candidate. Zero. Plus record-setting yardage against a bunch of poor defenses in the other games. Whoop-tee-freakin-doo. Those records are not important in this decision.
2) We insist on adherence to the Binder aporoach. Otherwise, we the customers - the reason why it all exists- will have been LIED TO.

We ain't taking it.

All those talking points you are floating, and talking yourself into...are not going to float.

Those moving pieces are sinking when we hear them.

The pain is WAY too compiled over WAY too many years.

Give us a Binder-compatible OC.

We insist.

Our wife's/husbands/families are asking us questions such as:
"Why are you subjecting yourself to that? You are miserable watching LSU football these days!'...and...
"Let's use that money to do some home projects or some travel, and just watch the games on tv, and buy one or two games each year for a lot less money!"

READ THAT NARRATIVE A FEW TIMES. READ THOSE "MOVING" PIECES.

The TigerNation poker table is looking to be "rivered" with a great hire, not the typical PR plan pushing an internally comfortable and rationalized selection that EVERYONE POLLED, knows is extremely unwanted. (Heck, the man being hired may not even really want the job, but he is a loyal friend who will abide.) SEE THAT RANT POLL, for Pete's Sake. This is the real sentiments of your fan base. The radio talk parallels it. So does the phone calls and texts. It is a UNITED FRONT of opinion.

You get paid the big bucks.

We pay them.

Get us a Binder-compatible hire as our OC so we can stop getting laughed at, can stop feeling dishonored and lied to, and most importantly, we can pay our upcoming fees and tickets with honor and hope to end this very long period of emphatically unacceptable offensive futility.

Or, you can talk yourself into believing this is a bluff.

Your move, chiefs.

We had one... and then fired him because the life long d-line coach knows better than an actual offensive coordinator.

There's a reason O failed at every school. He's a failure.

Or we could do what needs to be done.

Fire Alleva and Zero then actually start to rebuild the ship.

I read this as if it were delivered as a Spoken Word "poem" in a smoke filled coffee room in Haight Ashbury by a hippy dippy dude.

It helped....but, only a little

Well it would seem that O's most intelligent move was to hire a media guy as his right hand man. Pomansky is O's version of Baghdad Bob.

Look, the damage control and narrative spinning that the Orgeron camp is doing right now is just delaying the inevitable.

When you’re in your first year and there’s this much negative feelings from fans, boosters and local talking heads. The war is lost and there is no coming back. Yea, he might make it 2018 or maybe even into 2019 but to be considered “successful” is no longer an option.

I did something similar - I read it in Progressive Flo's voice when she did her freestyle, "Floetry" rhyme.

This was already done. The big LIE is that O had learned his damned lesson and would let his (much more capable) Coordinators do their job and handle their side of the game. That LIE has already been told and the Coordinator is gone leaving more debt to pay.

O needs to go because he is apparently incapable of handling the HC responsibilities and Alleva needs to go if for no other reason than the Orgeron contract that borders on criminally irresponsible.

You forgot, we don’t know what was in The Binder. I’m beginning to believe The Binder was just O’s mama’s secret roux recipe, and if Joe Alleva hired him, he’d give him The recipe

That is part of the issue. He is imitating Miles. Comfortable hires. Good ole boys. We were promised that he had learned his lesson. Surely he had a textbook illuatration from Miles on exactly what not to do. You would expect him to do something impressive vs comfortable. It just doesnt have to be this way

Pride goes before the fall. Miles was textbook on that. Don't insist on doing the same, Coach O. For your sake and everyones who dislikes the comfortable move.

The only thing I got from that is that your wife's husband has better plans for your your money and "we ain't taking it".

To the first point, tell Jerome to get a job and his own money.

To the second, sure we will. We've been tolerating poor to mediocre offenses for the last decade and haven't missed any games. Why would anyone think that we would change?

Ok, you may roll your eyes at this analogy, but at a minimum, it has some validity.

Ever take a chemistry lab course? One experiment is a titration. You incrementally place clear drops into a clear flask. It is like that for a while. But, with no visible evidence, a change in the PH is occurring. Drop. Drop. Drop. Drop. Drop. Etc. No visible change.

Then, one additional drop is added, and voila, the liquid becomes violet in color.

To the un-nuanced, it is a surprise. To the nuanced, it is just a lag in the indication that a major transformation has been developing.

Go ahead and belittle the analogy. But it has more merit than you may think.
