This is going to be the last thing I have to say on the matter because you can believe me or not believe me, but here's proof that the main OU propaganda network is carrying the conference live even though 99.99% of press conferences are not carried live. I can't know for sure what they're going to say, but they wouldn't carry it live if it was just "We are deeply disappointed in how Lincoln Riley handled the situation, blah blah blah we're going to be better off, blah blah blah Bob Stoops will be the interim coach for the bowl game. No questions."

a press conference had been planned to day since yesterday I believe.
It's just to announce Bob as the interim and for the AD and pres to make some remarks.
The only way they would be prepared to announce today is if the AD had about a two week warning from Riley.

I don’t think they will announce a coach, only that the search is underway and it may take awhile. If it is who I expect it is though it could happen quickly.

If Venables, that means that they knew for a couple of weeks about Riley leaving....which I find that hard to believe.
Bob as interim is the likely scenario. It maybe a 1 year interim so they can find the right fit. A lot of good names have signed extensions or have been hired. Not a good time to hunt for a coach.
