I am convinced it’s Napier. There is only one coach and school that LSU can control from a source/media standpoint. USL knows Napier is leaving at some point. It is to their benefit to keep quiet. They can attract up and coming coaches if they handle this well. They can get LSU transfers and staff if they handle it well. Politically they benefit of they handle it well. They are in the running for a better bowl than usual , so LSU will let Napier hang around unannounced until the end of Nov. of Jimbo, Riley , or Tucker were in play the smoke from the other schools would be thick as hell. Their boosters, admin and staff would let everything out. The only group we can keep quiet is in Lafayette.

If it was Napier, it would be announced by now. SW is trying to reel in a big name first.

It means its Jimbo.

He is the only one that would come here, that has something to wait on. He can still claim the SECw title, and then go on to the SEC title game

Napier is waiting on nothing. The fact that a Tier 2 coach has not been announced, means Scotty is giving his white whale some space

The longer this goes? It’s Nov 10. You better hope this doesn’t go down until December.

Nothing was ever going to happen before the A&M game.

We told you when this coaching search started that it would be two months until you learned who the new coach is.

Nothing has changed.

No coach is announcing he’s taking the LSU job when he still has games to coach at his current school

It was stated from the beginning that no coach would be announced until the season was over. RELAX

The longer it goes? The season isn’t over. I don’t why anything thought this would be a mid season hire.

What do you mean “the longer this goes”? There’s 3 games left in the regular season.

Our of respect to Riley, we will wait until he’s had an opportunity to address his old team after they miss the playoffs.

Jimbo is not a WOW type hire! He’s not a hire that every fan will love and not question! There is only one guy that SW can hire that will WOW every fan.

“The longer this goes….”

Not sure what you meant, but this was always going to last until end of season.

If we learned anything from the baseball hire and to a lesser extent the WBB hire, Woodward is a master at manipulating the media to create a smokescreen while he quietly pursues his favorite candidate.

What exactly was going to have happened by now?

This is the second time you've made this statement. Have you ever seen a coach quit midseason to take a job at another school?

If you were expecting an announcement before the end of the season, then you haven't seen the ball since the kickoff.

I think LSU could hire Napier right now. There is no reason to wait.

If it ends up being Napier, it will happen when LSU misses out on guys above him.
