This is crazy, this board is going nuts because SW, BK and the new regime have stopped all the leaks .... This what an actually coaching search looks like, we just haven't seen one conducted this way in 15+ years.
We aren't owed any insider info, they are doing their job the way or should be done.

I don't think it's the lack of information that has people up in arms...it's the lack of progress.

Well make sure you let everyone know the pace at which you think things should be progressing

That’s fine, but at least coordinators should be in place by now. We’re going to lose recruits because they’re missing.

The recruits having confidence in the head man is much more important than hiring a coordinator so we can have one for early signing day..... If they trust BK... they will trust he hires a guy with a system his recruits will shine in.
This is what a head coach does, people don't go to Bama for the coordinators, this is an example

This board told me SW has nothing, NOTHING, and was curled up in a corner crying the day it was confirmed they had agreed to terms with BK.

That's a fair expectation. National Signing Day is in February, and I do certainly think we'll know the full staff by then.
Early Signing Day is tomorrow, and thought it may seem like there is pressure to decide things quickly, that is fan pressure and not a coach who is preparing to lead a program in the best manner.
Remember that just because something is urgent to someone else doesn't make it your priority. I remind myself that with my job all the time, and it saves me a lot of stress that I really don't need.

most HOPED this. reasonable HOPE.
I HOPE that the hires will be announced shortly after the bowl game. if nothing happens, i am not going to run to this board and start a few threads about my stress level.
the problem with all of this is that we have nothing to do with this hiring/firing process.
sit back and trust a guy that has a history of making good hires. this is not the Les/Ed/Joe show going on here. get used to things happening the right way.

It’s the lack of information that’s leading to the conclusion there is a lack of progress. We don’t know that. There is more to a search than just making a list and then making a decision. There should be many steps, many evaluations, many recommendations and many interviews in between. We have no idea how much of that has taken place.
