Today, Nov 27 : final regular season game

..with a win…

Big 12 championship game: Dec 4th

Final CFB Playoff Selection show: Dec 5th

Early signing Day Dec 15th

CFB playoff Semi finals: Dec 31st

CFB playoff final: January 10th

If OU wins tonight, it will be at least another week before anything happens.

And if they win the Big 12 & are selected into the CFB playoff(not a given, but a real possibility), it will not be until the new year before Lincoln Riley could agree to anything.

And at that point, I think it’s unlikely lsu waits. He’ll get a big raise & just stay at OU.

So moral of the story is obviously hope that they lose this week or next.

They can beat Okie State once, but back to back?

That’s a tough ask.

They aren’t making the playoffs as long as ND or Cincy win

Pending an OU Loss tonight- Scott has the plane on stand by to pick up LR & family from Norman Tonight.

Introduced formally tomorrow but for fans that are interested the Riley’s are supposed to arrive in BR at 230a.

I don’t think they’re winning today. If that team meeting thread was accurate, they seem plenty distracted with all the rumors. And it’s not like he absolutely denied it, if they really think he’s leaving they might have a motivation issue.

I'm curious how this works too and may be why its so silent in the Woodward and Riley sides.

Things will be real interesting on Dec 5 if OU wins today and their conference championship. I believe Riley stays if OU falls into the CFP.

Huh

The relevant conference teams in the top 5 still have tough conference champ games to play

They will get in over a 2 loss bama or 2 loss Big 10 runner up (mich/osu)

Are you sure they arrive at 2:30 and not 3:50?

Some people think he announces even if he wins. People have lost their minds.

A guy on the precipice of going to the playoffs is going to announce that he's accepted another job. Would literally be one of the biggest CFB stories ever.

Disagree.

IF

Riley is coming to LSU we will hear next week with tomorrow being the first day of the week.

Must court recruits, must stop transfer portal out, and must court OU players and recruits to fill holes.

He may make deal with OU to coach through last game, but it will be announced.

Hope he’s ours.

He hasn’t really denied anything since this all started. That’s the one thing that’s making me optimistic.

If OU loses today, it will be announced Monday. Their season is over if they lose as they won’t make the conference game. Riley will not stay for a bowl game.

The committee ranked them 8th with zero losses. They don’t like OU at all. I don’t think they get the nod over Cincinnati or 1 loss Notre Dame.

If they win tonight, nothing will be announced until at least Dec 5th.

So no, you won’t know tomorrow. Not while they are still alive to win a championship

and we can see the playoff committee clearly has little respect for the Big 12 with where both Oklahoma teams are ranked to the point where I don’t see them catapulting Oklahoma over ND and Cincy in 2 games but too each their own.

Only way I see Oklahoma with a shot even if those two teams keep winning is Oklahoma beating Okie state twice in a landslide

P5 conference champ holds a lot of weight. Would have 2 more wins over ranked teams. Their schedule was admittedly crap at that point, but so are the other 2.

I don’t think it’s a given, but they have a good shot

Here’s what does make sense though. If they win, they will somehow have to find a way to end or at least minimize the smoke. Or else it will become even a bigger sh$t show for the players and that school.

Either OU or Lincoln will have to address the rumors directly and definitely. No way this can continue for weeks to come and that team be focused. Because of this, I simply don’t agree. I believe, if Lincoln in fact is coming, announcement will follow rather quickly after the game no matter win or lose.

Firstly, you’ll see reputable media confirming left and right. Secondly, Lincoln will have to make his move whichever path he is going. Otherwise, that entire team will implode.

If they beat Okie St tonight

They will jump to 7th at the lowest, but likely 5th or 6th going into championship weekend. Primed to make a move into the final 4 if UGA beats Bama or Iowa upsets Mich or Ohio St
