The biggest problem with Harbaugh is that he will be rumored for an NFL job every year. Which isn't the worst thing...I would enjoy having other schools/organizations interested in our coach again.

We end this ridiculus contract for starters...
And we promise ourselves "never again."
We make sure our coach and his staff are paid well but give ourselves room to get out of a contract if things start to go bad. The 2007 Miles to Michigan was knee jerk reaction but just imagine if RR left this week and Miles was named to Michigan next week what would happen?
Think about the time frame between next week and signing day? There would be alot of pressure on the AD to hire a new HC ASAP?

I figured it would be obvious as to why he would want to leave...
For one, our record the past two years, he is currently on a very hot seat, an outsider who isn't considered a "true Michigan man", NCAA investigation, local media hates him, alum and big donors are not happy don't think he's a right fit for UofM, new AD-which could make his future at UofM uncertain pending another bad year in 2010. At this point, I wouldn't blame him for wanting to leave.

Michigan needs to be patient. While I felt from the beginning this was a bad fit, I also thought given 3-4 years, RR would take Michigan back to the top of the Big 10.

Dan Mullen. We know he can recruit from his days at UF. He is holding his own in StarkVegas, which isn't easy to do. He took a mediocre team and did a solid job with them this year. You can't deny that they improved and that Mullen got the most out of them. Most importantly, I think you can look at UF's offense this year and compare it to last year and get a clear picture of Mullen's value to that program. It wasn't ALL Percy Harvin. This is the guy that can come to LSU and devise an offense that will put our playmakers to work.

For me, the list of names to replace Les Miles would begin and end with Bo Pelini.

I like Pelini, but in terms of as a complete HC, he wouldn't even make my top ten of HCs, that would take the job if offered.
I do however think he is doing a great job at Nebraska, and coulda shoulda woulda beat VT and Tex.

Guys, Butch Davis is 58 years old. He's just a tad bit older than when he took over at Miami in the mid 90's,folks.
