This can’t be said enough. Woodward pulled a coach that was in contention to make the CFP. That is unheard of. Regardless if Kelly was the first option or if Riley was. It doesn’t matter. That’s remarkable and Woodward is worth every penny. Dude is a legend.

Im sure Woodward told coach Kelly about the Napier situation and they both agreed to take half a baby aspirin every night worrying about the USL/Napier jealousy and hurt feelings!

IMO Billy Napier is a solid hire for any program. The guy is an intuitive play caller (not an Xs and Os wizard) so yeah Florida will continue to be a hard game to win. Personally I think CBK will recruit better athletes. As a fan all we can do is watch right?

Napier is a great coach and what he did at ULL is remarkable. But going from a sunbelt school to Florida is too big of a jump to make. I think he needed time at at mid tier Big 12 or lower SEC before making that leap

I love how people think that Napier is the second coming of saban, he’s been a head coach at one school and yes he’s had success, but that doesn’t equal to him being saban type coach

He pulled a coach at the end of his career wanting a championship from a school that will not produce enough talent to beat another championship team. It’s a great hire, but it’s not amazing.

C’mon, let the Napier bashing go. The fact that a program of Florida’s stature targeted him as its #1 choice and hired him is all anyone needs to know to recognize he’s a good coach.
LSU made out better based on what we know in 2021. But going forward remains to be seen. It’s as if the man really has done something to you personally for you to continue to attack him days after he’s moved on and LSU’s got its coach.
