That would be fun to watch him from a different perspective.

Don't worry about him getting recruits after seeing what this team is capable of after the handcuffs are off. Miles should get a job very soon or his stock will plummet. LSU is winning out.

Itd be the complex opposite from him coming to LSU. He'd start with absolutely nothing there.

He would get totally exposed and fall flat on his face at a Big 10 also ran like Purdue.

But it would reduce the buyout so I hope Purdue gets him.

Purdue usually has qbs that can throw the forward pass pretty well. I mean hell even their rejects are good look at Etling. Less would infuriate their fan base with run run run punt.

All he did was build Ok St from scratch back when the Big XII was still competitive. Let's not act like he can't do it.

Les is not the same coach he was pre-2008. Even in the Big 10 vs teams like Iowa, Northwestern, Minn., he's not going to get enough overall talent to compete playing the style of play he's accustomed to (strong defense, ultra-conservative play calling). So unless, he decides to change his approach (something he refused to do at LSU), he's going to struggle.

Miles did a great job at LSU. He should be acknowledged and celebrated for that. But it's not a coincidence that he and Saban who both had good, but not great records prior to coming to LSU, "suddenly" became elite coaches here. Louisiana, east Texas and the gulf coast are some of, if not the most fertile recruiting bases in the country. I don't care how good of a coach you are. If you don't have the players, it doesn't matter. Les would have to adjust for not having LSU-type players if he were to have success at Purdue.

You guys are fools. Les just needs to hire a young oc and he will be just fine.

He would have Cam get a facelift and dye his hair.

But he has proven he won't do this. And won't let the oc do his job. If he wouldn't change after being told to do exactly that or he's fired, then I doubt he'll ever change. Good luck to Miles but I'm glad I don't have to watch that stubborn hard head at LSU anymore.

The fools are people that still believe Miles wasn't holding this team back. So..... I guess that means you. What is it with you people? You just can't see that he doesn't let his coaches do their job. It's not some random occurrence that the game after he left the offense improved a ridiculous amount. Not only did it improve but they improved even using his shite arse playbook because you can't install a new offense mid-season. What pisses me off the most is we would be 6-0 right now if they would have fired Elmer Fudd last season.

He lets the DC do his job. Miles is an offensive minded coach, but he just sucks at it. If he goes to Purdue or anywhere else will he ever change? Not sure, but he could have been the GOAT at LSU if he would have accepted his role as a CEO coach and great recruiter and get a good OC and not meddle. He was a great recruiter and had good defenses.

Prediction? Purdue AD makes him promise to get a good OC and let him call plays. Miles gladly agrees and takes the job. Within 3 years he reverts back to his old ways, plays to hide the QB from mistakes, and hires a new puppet as OC (like Cam). Gets fired like Houston Nutt at OM and gets on TV sporadically as a color commentator.

Why do you all still have it out for the guy? He's gone.

If he could get them to 7-8 wins a year they would love him.

Les isn't getting purdue to 7 or 8 wins.

he is the complete opposite style than the roster they have. Then its a nowhere school so he isn't going to get the budget to bring in top assistants and he wont be able to pull in the top talent.

Les isn't going to out x and o anyone other than maybe rutgers coach.

Les was on pace to not get us 8 wins with the highest paid oc(who sucked), highly paid dc and dline coach and top 5 or so recruiting classes over and over.

Now he goes to purdue with no budget and no talent that fits what he does or wants to do. I hope he goes to purdue it would be funny as frick
