I promise I'm not him, but I will stick to what I have said all along and that is Nick Saban will be the next coach at LSU.
Gut feeling? It seems to be growing legs by the hour but it's so hard for me to believe.

skike is saying Del Rio wants the job badly, but his sources usually blow.
Posted on 11/27/07 at 11:53 pm to SlowFlowPro
if you think about it, its not that hard to find shite out
a poster knows some chick who's a secretary at the athletic admin. bulding, she tells the poster about skip flying to columbia, tuscaloosa, jacksonville, whatever, the poster starts a rumor about those coaches
thats certainly not out of the realm of reality

it does make me happy to be a fan of LSU and to think of where we're at as a program to think of who wants the job

when was the last MAJOR rumor that didn't turn out to be true?
Good point, SFP. I've been reading the Rant for a year and a half now and I can't think of one. Everything about Perriloux turned out to be true, or mostly true.
One way or another, everything about LSU drains into Tigerdroppings. It's like a sewer that way!

I have posted this 3 times today:
Jack Del Rio is the HC of a NFL team with a 8-4 record. For the love of God, why do people keep implying that he would be interested in leaving this to be the coach at LSU? It will not happen.

del rio makes around 3m a year...LSU could easily pay more than that, if they wanted to
del rio would have ABSOLUTE control over the program, something every coach dreams about
he would be a god in baton rouge, something he isnt in jacksonville
and thats just off the top of my head...

We were before USC lost to UCLA and they got bumped out of the championship game and into the Rose Bowl, right? That was out of our control.

still had to convince 12 angry men out of their "traditional tie ins"

well sports2, that was also the doing of the media, not the internet

Oh, I enjoy reading it. It is great comedy.

so you're saying it is completely out of the realm of possibility that an NFL coach could want to coach at a college program?

Well at least its more plausable than all the Saban back to LSU crap that now is the buzz
Posted on 11/28/07 at 12:06 am to bayourant
i'd almost make a bet with you that saban is coming back just b/c there is a 25% chance or so that it happens
