Just heard this from a TAF muckety muck big shot lawyer that's a customer of mine. Also said Crowton is good for another year as well.

If the big shots who actually pay part of their emoluments are fine with this then maybe there is a definite chance that they were shown a definite plan for progress and competitiveness for the next season?

Yep, as expected. And yes, LSU is screwed.

If that's accurate, there is no reason to get excited about recruiting, Spring Ball, etc...

7-5 here we come - and we might be lucky to win that many games.

Wishful thinking. Its not like the big shots get access to the coaching strategy, if they did the program would be in even bigger trouble. Too many people are will to accept 2nd tier status. They think 9-4 is good, we were "competitive". The theory is if you are good, 8 to 10 wins every year eventually you'll have a "special" year. 2003-2007 proves this does not have to be any more, but too many people are trapped in the old mind set.

No, recruiting is still exciting because if we keep getting the talent, when/if there is a coaching change we will be in position to bounce back quickly with the right hire. Florida had talent when Meyer got there, we had talent when Saban got here. With base talent in place a new coach can come in and upgrade it and turn things around fast

If LSU wins 10 games next year please stop posting and start rooting for whoever is in the top 3 each year.

If they win 7, but are extemely disciplined, and offense is consistant then I will be happier

That tune will change REAL QUICK if LSU is looking at 3-3 to 5-3 next year. People's have a tendency to change their opinion when they're standing in the middle of it.

We could have righted the ship in 2010 if we had a good OC. Screw firing Miles, let's hire a great OC and right the ship now!

I just heard this from a poster on an LSU board that CLM is clueless, and TAF is too.

If Les looses 5 games next year, he will be fired next season.

I don't think he comes back another year... Nope!
