There's so many coordinators that will kill at lsu, it shows you how low O is thought of in the coaching circle if he landed on two guys with zero experience

Why would Georgia’s DC leave for a lateral move when he’s going to be a HC very soon - maybe in a week or so

Because LSU fans are delusional. If Lanning isn’t a HC he is still working for Kirby and not that loser Kelly. Plus will have just come off a Natty.

I agree that such a move does not seem logical; however, logic doesn't always drive these things.
Last year it was in the local papers that Texas was trying to hire him. Perhaps that was a move to get more money for him, or perhaps he was seriously considering it.

I’m not sure that our coordinators have been that bad overall. people act like every coordinator sucked that o hired.
Matt Canada is coaching the Steelers now which means someone else thought he was a pretty good coordinator. He was the guy everyone wanted.
Pelini sucked
Joe Brady was great
Ensminger was good to great depending on how much he was in control
We’ve had some bad but have had some good coaches here. I’m sure Kelly will get some good coaches . If what o hired was the floor according to a lot of people, then we’re gonna be upgrading and that’s exciting

There is no chance Lanning would come. Makes no sense at all. Leave a program that is in the playoff talk almost every year for a lateral move?

I think The point is one of your Co-DCs may not want to be Co-DC anymore and may want more responsibility and credit and money.

I really like Lanning. But Jimmy Lake is just sitting out there.
