I do agree that there were massive offensive line holes, but isn't much of that because the coaching by Brad Davis left an awful lot to be desired?
Do you think that with a better offensive line coach, a few of these guys can be much improved next season?

This board had plenty of people questioning not taking an experienced tackle before the season. That wasn’t second guessing that was first guessing.
The prevailing thought being depending on two brand new OTs to start when we had NC aspirations was hoping without a plan.
Yeah Davis was a disappointment but sending out two OTs with no experience with the first back up being DJ Chester when your QB has lead in his cleats is insanity in hindsight and was openly thought about on this board by people for free. We paid $1 million to have it overlooked.
Also if you are getting paid $1 million it’s indefensible to find out on Wednesday night that transfer you are took to be your starting safety and practiced all week as such is ineligible to play against the number 3 team in the country on the road. Once again in a season that you have every intention and hype to be playoff bound.
That’s a fireable offense by itself.
Details matter and if Clemson had been any good that could have been a massive turn of events. Details like that can be the difference between 9-3 and 10-2 particularly with 9 game SEC schedules+ 1 P5 ooc game

There also wasn't a ton of top-end OL talent in the portal last year.

A little bummed we didn’t retain Washington. Felt like he was one of the only guys under Stoops that wasn’t mailing it in this season.

Yeah I read he still had an offer on the table from UK and a few other SEC/ACC teams that wanted him as well. I like his familiarity with the system from working under Lebby/Golesh.
