If Williams is so great then why is he still available? He’s been without a job since mid-December. Surely the “best available LB coach in the nation” would have his phone ringing off the hook by teams needing a lb coach.

sounds like Miami got hit with what LSU did, lack of spring, youth on Defense.

Miami didn't have a young defense. They had jr and sr and filled there defense with transfers the last 2 years some were former 5 stars also

If it is Baker as lb coach, when our lb suck next year and our lb recruiting sucks I want everyone who is praising this hire to come back and eat crow

I think it's an good hire, but we have to let him coach LB's and that's it, do not let him have any say so in the defensive game plan, I think that's what got to his head, he wasn't ready to be a D-Cord. but he is a good LB coach, would I rather someone else? sure, but at some point, we have to let the HC and AD make the hires and just see how it works out, if this team don't perform this season with all we have coming back, then we can def. complain and bitch about the hires this offseason, guess we'll see

Surely he has to be an improvement over Pelini coaching LBers. Last season our LBer play was arguably the worst since the Lou Tepper days.

They had a top 15 defense in 2019 and Diaz is overrated as a DC - I bet his defenses won't be any better than Baker's
