The word "Probably" means you are making a stretch to begin with (if not making it up entirely {which i think you are}). Lets say its true and he was vetted last year for the DC job, part 1 of their connection is the same connection that any HC has with any coach they hire: He looked into the guy. Same connection O has to Daronte Jones and Jake Peetz. Cool.

Wrong.
He was very, very good in year 1 and had the 51st ranked scoring defense in 2020 when they had opt outs and talent issues.
To put his 2020 defense, with similar shite going on to LSU, in perspective:
Ohio St. - 43rd scoring defense - 25.8 ppg
Miami - 51st scoring defense - 27 ppg
Texas - 61st scoring defense - 28.5 ppg
LSU - 97th scoring defense - 34.9 ppg
So he had one really, really good year in 2019 and one average-to-bad year in an asterisk season. During said year they were also top 5 in TFL, top 10 in forced fumbles, and top 15 in fumbles recovered. The dude can coach a defense, Miami just fricking sucked and people won't admit that.
AND WE'RE HIRING HIM AS LB COACH.

I'd like to also add he lost 3 ppl the following year that were all ACC in 2019 in rousseau who's going in round 1, quartermann and pinkney..
