And what do you think the expectations are at Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Penn St, Texas A&M? They are all chasing championships and committed to getting there. Why should LSU be any different?

Get the frick out of here. We held onto Miles for 12 years. O dug his own grave. Kelly was lazy.

Every fan base has unrealistic expectations at times.

Every team has a vocal minority of retards.

Bama wanted to fire their coach after the first game.

This shite isn't exclusive to LSU.

If you hate it here so much, go be a Tulane fan or something.

What a refreshing original thought, that hadn't been posted yet here today.

So we just shut the program down or run it with no coach? This is one of the most idiotic things I’ve read on here, and that’s saying something.

Well, whoever our new coach will be I sure am glad he won’t be a pussy like you. Apparently you need to get a little bit more “tigerdup”

We're 6-4 and not sniffed the playoffs in 6 seasons

how is that unrealistic expectations to want more when LSU has top talent and top paid coaches?

Competitors are attracted to high standards and the possibility of high rewards.

You get both at LSU.

That doesn’t mean he will be the next coach, but high standards work in LSU’s favor… not against it.

Great Head Coaches WANT the high expectations! They know they can win a National Championship at LSU! Many of you WEAK GIRLY MEN on here, not so much. Yall go spend more time with your boyfriend's until all this coaching search bs is over and done with.

The kind of coaches that LSU is trying to acquire thrive on those expectations. Is it any different in baseball?

Oh gosh this bs again.

Or he’d be a fool not to take advantage of the opportunity. He could win Championships at LSU.

What if Lane sees himself as elite? What if he sees himself as a Kirby Smart in the right circumstance?

Btw the more a school wins then eventually the expectations grow.

Can’t believe Jay Johnson came to LSU baseball when they forced out a National
Championship winning coach .

He already took Arizona to the CWS two times in like 4-5 seasons. Why would he ever leave that to come to such a pressure cooker? He was even a run or two away from potentially winning the whole thing there. Why leave?
