Don't get this one. Ole Miss, to me, is objectively a better job.

Miami's administration has completely neglected football and plans to continue that trend. Any "tax benefits" in Florida are offset by cost of living differences.

Oxford is awesome and Ole Miss will pay him more, give him better facilities, fund recruiting, etc.

Miami is a shite hole job now. Absolute shite hole.

This offseason will definitely prove if this is true or not. He's got plenty of opportunities to move on from Ole Miss.

Laugh all you want, but it's not the 90s anymore. Miami has decided they are not a football school anymore. It is a dead-end job.

Ole Miss is throwing serious money at their facilities and recruiting with the SEC money.

Ole Miss is definitely the batter job in 2021.

A very accurate statement. Their program is and has been an absolute shite show for many years.

Depends on a 4-team or 12-team playoff. If the 4-team playoff remains, it's easier to win the ACC than the SEC

Weird Miami took this route. The high schools in that area are loaded with talent, Hurricanes should be much better

No way Lane leaves to coach Miami, for several reasons.

First of all, he's aware of his reputation as a job hopper and he hasn't even been at OM a full 2 seasons. Second, he has OM rolling and he has the ego to think that he can get them over the hump, there's a good chance they finish 10-2 and second in the west in his second year.

Then there's the fact that Miami is probably a worse job than OM at this juncture. They don't invest in football at all and the program hasn't been a top tier for decades.

Then you have to add in that UF is most likely gonna be open within the next year, and that is a MUCH better job and fit than Miami. This is assuming that he has the desire to ultimately end up back in Florida somehow.

I just don't see him making the jump to the Hurricanes or why it would make any sense for him

Lol no one would live in Mississippi over South FL. I live in Miami right now and we have a great mayor and Daddy DeSantis and people are flocking here. He would take the job if offered the right amount of cash
