Lane just loves Attention. He is like the flirty girl in high school.

Guy will drag this out as long as he can. Maybe he comes to LSU and it’s great.

Maybe we don’t have the leadership to control this situation. I am starting to believe we wind up with a Tennessee situation, announcing Drink and the fans revolting.

You ever think maybe things are a lot different on the inside and they just don’t wanna post the news until after the egg bowl?

I think he is in a terrible situation where he is forced to make a decision that will hurt people he cares about because the NCAA can’t think ahead on its calendar.

He hasn't really done anything tho. He just said wait until after the regular season. Some people are impatient and want the decision now. That's just not going to happen. He still has a good team.

Yeah, I play out all the scenarios I can think about. I get it….but at the end of the day, Lane has a history of inserting himself into the narrative, and it’s made him a ton of money.

I’d do the same thing if I was an offensive genius head coach.

Can’t blame him, this works out fine if he comes here. If he doesn’t, then Verge and the Governor look like fools.

They are going after the big name coach that everyone wants with their everything. Only so many things you can control.

99.8% of coaches would kill for the LSU job they will figure it out if it doesn’t happen. I’m sure they’re doing fine.

Most people melted weeks ago that we were going to go for a cheap buy because what the governor said.

Yeah it's the NCAAs fault for giving the coaches and players what they wanted. So when is the optimum time for coaches to get fired and hired? When football is on 365 day year cycle that has to be coordinated with the schools' calendars as well.

He’s a narcissist! He only cares about his reputation and he’s currently getting raked by the national media. lol it’s funny watching lsu fans talk about lane who they have minimal experience with. You have no idea what you’re getting yourselves into.

You think coaches care. That's funny.

I’m just hoping LSU is back-channeling other candidates while this drags out. I don’t have a lot of confidence that our leadership isn’t all-in on this. Lane Kiffin is, to put it mildly, squirrely. We’re liable to be left holding the bag next Saturday.

Kiffin did not bring any of this on. He simply brought his 1 loss team to a potential playoff spot and the ner do wells came knocking and now everybody demanding things of him including his employer.

I suspect he will not sign anything with anybody after the Egg Bowl and continue coaching on his existing contract and force everyone else to honor his terms.

If the rumors are true OM has already moved on post EggBowl then yeah he may sign.

100%

When he makes a decision, the courting stops. His ego can't give that up. I expect he will drag this out as long as he can.

I hope we start interviewing other candidates tomorrow.

If our offer isn't accepted, we should pull it and move on.
