Exactly. He’s killing it at freakin Ole Miss.

Yeah that number 20 ranked recruiting class…. Woah!!!! Look out!!!!

No but he did win 10 games twice at Ole Miss. never mind the fact that it was when the SEC west was in complete disarray. The first year he won 10 was the last year of the Ed Orgeron era at LSU, A&M has been a shite show the last 6 years, Auburn has been a joke the last 5 years, Arkansas can’t buy a win or a decent head coach to save their asses. Even Ole Miss’s rival in Moo State has been in disarray lately. Let’s not forget that their permanent east opponent was Vandy so that should be an automatic win for almost anyone, they haven’t schedule a decent OOC team in forever, and honestly they wrrr lucky to come out of at least 4 games with a win this year (they were all under a touchdown difference). So while Kiffin has done ok at Ole Miss, it’s not the “omg he’s just destroying everyone” case that some of you act like it is.

Michigan doesn't either. High school recruiting isn't the life blood of major programs anymore. Now, with parity settling in you need elite X and Os coaches who can develop talent and work the portal.

Don’t even try to compare Harbaugh to kiffin

Kiffin didn’t get the LSU job because of his ties to Coach O
Bama knows what he is and are getting him tomorrow

Lane is tailor made for this era of football, both on and off the field. We do not want him at Bama.

You forget Kiffin has beaten A&M repeatedly. Kiffin helped put A&M in disarray.

LSU was a complete rebuild basically from the ground up.

He could walk in and win 11 games at Alabama next season easily.

Ole Miss was a total rebuild also.

Regardless, he wasn’t offered by LSU but had he been it’s likely he would take the job now or then.

Kiffin isn’t staying at Ole Miss if a top ten program with resources comes calling.

It isn’t Lanes fault LSU wanted to hire a dinosaur who can’t win big games.

Ole Miss had the perfect storm of opponent shitshows aon their schedule:

Auburn
8&4
LSU's Defense
Arky
State

Just last year, Lane finished 1-6 with losses to LSU, Bama, Arky, State, and TXTech. Only Jimbo saved him from 0-6.

There are some purple and gold glasses in this thread. Kiffin has out performed Kelly since Kelly came to LSU.

High school recruiting is as good as it has ever been at Ole Miss, and high school recruiting has never been minimized as it is in 2024. Portal is just as important if not more important. The fact you LSU fans are super happy with Kelly is wild to me.

Here we go again, Miami, UF, Auburn, A&M. He is now the 3rd longest tenured coach in the SEC.

The difference here is that he would not being walking into a dumpster fire like he would have at the schools you listed.

But keep on telling yourself he will not leave for a better opportunity and disregard how he has a track record doing this at prior coaching stops.

Looks like Ole Miss is a top 10 program and Kiffin got them there. Ole Miss has tapped into what these players really want, money and to be developed. It's not facilities.

Other than him leaving FAU for Ole Miss, he hasn’t. There are just a large amount of fundamentally stupid people on this board who lack the ability to actually research what the frick they’re talking about.

Put down the crack pipe Reb.

Kelly is 20-7 since coming into the SEC. He won the West year one crushing Ole Miss 45-20 along the way, this with depleted roster and a team that was expected to win six games at best.

Kiffin is 19-7 during the same duration, barely escaped at home against an LSU team with a historically bad defense, and despite coaching the Rebs for 4 years never sniffed Atlanta.

He went 9-3 with 2 NFL receivers and the heisman winning QB.

He had a horribly bad defense. All the offensive production is gone. Good luck next year.
