this would be an all time failure for hiring an offensive coordinator for LSU if this happened. especially considering what bill of goods coach O sold alleva and the BOS about hiring the very best when it came to an OC.

Werner is a lower 2nd tier candidate for the job, to be sure; possibly the name above the last one on the list, Ensminger.
His familiarity with Freeze's spread system, his early experience in the U's pro system, his success developing qbs throughout his career, his knowledge of the recruiting base and the SEC, plus his familiarity with Orgeron make him a likely candidate for job.
