I've known about eight guys named Jeremiah Johnson. For a time there after the movie it was a very popular name among the Johnsons.

I know zero about him, but I’m surprised a highly sought after coach would leave Northern Iowa and move all the way to Ruston, LA to work for what’s basically a lame duck HC. I assumed it would have been a guy closer to home. But if he actually is legit, kudos to Tech.

A relative coached at UNI recently. Head coach is a supreme a-hole. He couldn't wait to get out of there.

Makes sense. And if he has aspirations of coaching in the south, even if he’s just at Tech 1 season, he could at least get a little lay of the land as far as recruiting and building relationships.

He was apparently making like 70K at UNI. He’ll make 200 or 250K at Tech. He knows he’s walking into a job where he’ll be fired next November. But he’s getting three years worth of pay to do it.
I’m guessing he wants to bring in some of his guys from UNI, put together some decent tape and land a job on another FBS staff in 2025
