next year being a potential wash is sickening with all the talent we'll have. watching the 2011 recruiting potentially crash and burn isn't too exciting either. oh well, at least baseball is around the corner...

This is some very disturbing information if true. If Miles wanted to get rid of Crowton (and I think he does based off their sideline arguments via headset) than there should be some effort by the athleic department to work with Miles and get a new OC. Hire a good OC and the ship can be righted.
If they are setting Miles up to fail, then we might as well shut the football program down. Inter-athletic deparmetn strife will ruin sports programs. On top of all this, we need a good year next year to reel in the great recruiting class in LA next year.

Well, this is just conjecture on my part...
I am sure Alleva believes Crowton can fix it...and for about 1 million dollars, apparently alleva is willing to take that chance...dunno
Maybe alleva doesn't understand how important LSU football is to the fans and to the state, the university...I mean really understand...
1 Million is chump change if the have to run Miles next year

you would just think seeing saban lifting that crystal would light a fire under tiger nation's arse to get back to the top. if that means mass firings that cost an assload then so be it. are we going back to the old LSU days when we had plenty of money in the bank but no success?

Its probably not Alleva , it unfortunately is the all knowing Louisiana political machine , been that way since the 1800's and nothing is ever going to change in Louisiana. Wish I could believe otherwise, but not going to change. It was politics that ran Paul Dietzel out of town. Politics that ran Bob Brodhead off, Politics that sickened Arnsparger to leave, Politics that ran Emmert off and ultimately Saban. I wish I could be more positive but take any course in Louisiana History and we are destined to just repeat the same mistakes over and over . The great politics of Louisiana.

Miles makes another boneheaded move by not replacing Crowton. Serioulsy, 112th out of 120th in the nation and you allow the guy to stay? Not the move of an elite coach who knows what must be done. Hell our defense last year ranked significantly better than the offense this year and they "moved on." Miles need to get his head out of his arse. Crowton is a big problem. His play calling is absolutely horrendous.

Saban was recruited out of BR...he wanted to stay, but I think skip was tired of the NFL talk every year...
Emmert went to alma mater, so that doesnt really fit either..
