There's goes our hopes at a NC next season. This news hurts, especially after watching Saban hoist that crystal football up last night.

Why would someone veto the firing of Crowton? If you want this program to succeed, then we are gonna have to get a good OC. I don't understand this decision
Alleva is all about the Money
Getting rid of Crowton would cost too much
Apparently the AD has said to Les "sleep in the the bed you made"
Les is loyal and got them all raises when times were good, now it's coming back to bite him
Crowton has one season to right the ship...potentially LSU could be very good...but we thought this year...so....
basically, we begin next month spring ball as the 112th ranked offense in the country... I don't care how good your Defense is, if you can't score, you are not going to win big games.
I am on record as predicting Miles tenure will end after next season. With the decision to keep Crowton... Make a change, you get some breathing room but not much more
Perhaps its a power play on Miles, making him sink or swim...because many are upset already.
Let be real, if this was Nick Saban at the helm, he would have Crowton fired so fast it wouldn't make it past 2 threads on the rant.
Nick got what he needed, and that is why he isn't like by the Elite at LSU...he was a jerk...but a winning jerk.. Pride is lurking everywhere in this thing

No can do...
nothing that earth shattering..all they suggest is, Miles wants to make a change, But!.....

any chance the LSU powerbrokers know miles will gone next season anyway and don't want to waste money paying off crowton and bringing in a new guy to replace him for 1 season only?

I've said it before and I will say it again, Coaching Changes Board December 2010 will rule.

it's a sad sad day if alleva has decided to cheap out. bama spends money like drunken sailors for their football and look at them now. they're winning and making more cash than ever. i don't understand how alleva doesn't see this.
Posted on 1/8/10 at 5:29 pm to ApexTiger
would go along with what par was saying about miles wanting to make a change
I think alleva is also pretty pissed at miles over the mccarthy situation

If only Les would get pissed off about all this and tell Alleva to go screw himself and resign. Too bad he's too much of a lap dog yes man.

Well, Alleva is all about raising money, not necessarily spending on firing coaches that recently received a raise and an extention...
he probably told Miles, "it ain't my problem"...."you and Gary won one MNC together, you can do it again, I suggest you focus on spring ball, together"

miles wanted to make gary the highest paid OC in the game. Let him hang himself on that decision and can his arse next year
I hate we have to waste another year under miles but I guess the end justify the means
