Can't say I'm surprised. I just hope it's over soon.

I think he is done. If he is, I am glad it is earlier rather than later.

all the dominoes are falling into place.

ferentz was an obvious smokescreen.

now they take off a couple of days, and wait until sunday or early next week.

From what I heard Slow, Miles to UM has been a done deal for 8-9 weeks. This is why Miles can just blow the question off. He knows he is gone.

That's about the time it seemed the team started going south a little and playing WAY BELOW potential. I would be very interested to know if that is really true. If so I am PISSED!

I honestly think he's known since Sept 8. Oregon stomped Mich that day, starting 0-2, assuring Carr's demise. LSU throttled VT that day. That's the last time the Tigers looked like an unstoppable machine for 60 minutes. Since that day, LSU hasn't dominated anyone (Midd TN and La Tech don't count), and Miles has not had the intensity that he had the last two years. Every halftime interview this year he just smiles and calmly says "We just gotta come out and and play like we can play, just do what we came to do, we'll be okay." Contrast that with last year against TN - "... I don't give a damn about that. We have to play our asses off!"

Where does this news leave Michigan? As our source put it, “It’s probably time to focus entirely on Les Miles because Kirk Ferentz’s name is off the table.”

That said, our source did admit that if Miles were to say no and Michigan came back to Ferentz with an offer near $4 million or so, that you can never say never. He added, though, “Once Kirk has come to a conclusion, he doesn’t second-guess himself.”
