You define what “available” means.

3 top 10 wins for Heupel in 1 less season.

4 top 10 wins for kiffin. 2 of those wins were against a Kentucky team that ended up 7-6 and the current LSU team

In the 5 years (including current) that Heupel has been at Tennessee UT has outranked OM in total offense 3/5 years.

In the 4 full years that Heupel has finished at Tennessee they have two top 10 finishes lane has 1 in 5.

Heupel has made the CFP in less years than Lane.

Heupel also managed to have the number 3 offense in the country this year despite losing his starting qb to a hold out DURING spring practice.

Lane went 9-3 with a roster that had 8 draft picks. A first round DT and QB (who is starting as a rookie) second round qb and db and 3rd round d end.

And yet they still suck. Kiffin bolted after a year and your baseball coach is gone now too.

Considering all the advantages LSU has over Ole Miss, can we brag that Kiffin only went 2-2 against Kelly, especially after the 2024 miracle?

They beat LSU's arse off in Dead Valley.

Thank God! What has he won since then? We'll wait,

Elander had as much to do with UT's baseball success as Vitello.

Lane is an active head coach. He has a job. How was he available? Who told you he was available? Do you mean he’s for sale at some point towards the end of the season? Personally ; drinkwitz (he may be out of culture) Brohm , K Sheppard or the one and only you know who ! He is available… Nick could come in and stay three years straighten up our athletic department. I’m good with that.

In your dreams. Tennessee has only been relevant when Peyton was there, and Vitello, and both are long gone. You are not even relevant in any women's sports.

BTW, Kiffen;s Rebels whipped Tennessee before he had time to put a good team together.

Ok… let’s define “available” as you request.

“Technically” ….everyone is available as a candidate to be hired by LSU.

BUT ……..You must be “Reasonable”….
** there’s that word again and let’s explain why it is important :

Ryan Day is “technically available” but he is not leaving Ohio State for LSU !!

Steve Sarkasian is “technically available” but he is not leaving Texas for LSU.

Elko is “technically available” but he is not leaving Texas A&M for LSU.

Kirby Smart is “technically available” but he sure as hell is not leaving Georgia for LSU.

You can take the rest of the national field ….

Offense today is MANDATORY for elite success….

As the Title Says….
Name someone who is a BETTER Coach than Kiffin…..to come to LSU and recruit QBs and Skill players and could field a better offense … year in and year out ???

With the resources LSU has…. Kiffin could easily find coaches, give the pay and staff the Defense appropriately.

You are not relevant now. You're a dumpster fire. You think coaches look at a team and say, "they won a championshp 6 year ago. I want to coach there."
They look at what shape the athletic department is in. Are they solvent? (you're not). Who is the AD I will be working for? Will I have to tolerate meddlers? Y'all suck in every metric.

Say what? That was in Heupel's first year after taking over a 3-9 dumpster fire. Kiffin needed the refs' help then.

You have no clue what you are talking about.

You need to define "available". Every coach has a $ figure they can be had for. It may not be a reasonable #, but...

The issue is the fact he is not available. He’s currently the head coach of Ole Miss.

If Heupel is so lazy that he weighs 350+ lbs, I can’t imagine him having a burning desire to succeed. Yes you can infer someone’s work ethic from their weight

Andy Reid
Mike Holgrom

People are fat because they eat too much, which is unhealthy. Smoking and Drinking are also unhealthy. You not going to hire a great coach because he smokes or drinks. If a candidate has a great coaching mind and knows how to lead men then I don’t really care if he is a fat arse or not. I just want to see LSU being competitive again.

Lane would make the biggest splash, but that doesn't mean he is the best coach.

Guys like Dillingham, Golesh, or Morris may well prove to be better coaches when given an opportunity at a bigger school/conference. Hell Dillingham has already accomplished more than Kiffin if the goal is getting in the playoffs. That doesn't mean he's a better coach, but it is the same reason you can't objectively say Kiffin is better than some of the G5 coaches.

Nobody is going to step up and say a name on here. Some people might have their opinion, but they're too chicken. To say it.

Kinda hard when we aren't in the interview rooms. There are lots of coordinators who are clearly better offensive minds than Kiffin, but that doesn't mean they are ready to run a program. That's what you need an interview for: what is your plan for NIL, how do you intend to build out your supporting staff, etc

Freeman has made the national title game and beat the SEC champ in the playoffs. What's kiffin's biggest accomplishment?
