Personally, I don't blame Jimbo for Jameis being a complete a-hole. Jimbo isn't a babysitter, and a lot of people around the program have to approve scholarships and such.

If Briles can coach at FAU without anyone making a peep, why would it be any different at LSU? Because he makes more money?
The LSU compliance office is not making a ruling with regards to Briles based on NCAA infractions or any laws or bylaws being broken. Its all PR bullshite.

Aranda was not from out of left field.
What I meant is, there are not a lot of other options that would likely leave their current gig....that are better than what we already had.
Why pay Canada big money, dump him after 1 season (paying big money to get rid of him), to pay big money to somebody equal to or worse than Canada?

I’m on twitter and keep seeing people say they won’t support LSU if we hire briles. So you can thank those people when we hire Ensminger.

I see people with Art Briles problems - have not seen that many with Kendal Briles issues. And without knowing too much of the Baylor scandal - the only thing that Kendal shows up is in a lawsuit re a conversation about Baylor having good looking white women - and I would guess this is said at a lot of different schools to recruits. Now if there is something that shows he was in the thick of the scandal then I would change my tune about him
The head coach of Syracuse and Tulsa are old Baylor coaches under Briles and Sterlin Gilbert is another who others have talked about wanting - so Kendal should not get blackballed if his only offense is having a last name of Briles

The Kendal Briles “situations” at Baylor needs to be put to rest. Look at who leads our Athletic Department. Clearly LSU BOS and upper management can give a rats arse about past scandals

I heard Freeze would likely be on staff at LSU (but probably not as coordinator) unless he got a coordinator or HC offer.

Ok, so if we can't hire Briles or Freeze, is there no other elite OC? Are we really about to do the same thing we did for HC - name 2 guys, get a moderate push back on them then pack it in and hire a guy where there are literally a hundred better candidates?
Please tell me that is not happening. It sounds too convenient, too much like a ready excuse for someone inclined to take the cheap way out.

go read up on Fisch. He has coached under Mike Shanahan, Spurrier, and Brian Billick. He has a nice resume'. Runs a pro style type offense
