Justin Mcmillan lobbying for Canada

Its has to be tough on players when they are trying go about their business, while attempting to block out the rumor mill/internal struggles. Its telling though, that a guy who only took 1 or 2 snaps this year, is pulling for his OC
Thankful to have coach Canada as my coach. ???? good game coach.

It would have been nice to have seen Canada's play calling in that game.

No kidding Canada is gone cause that wasn’t his offense today

Why does he care if Canada leaves he won’t be here next year anyway he’s probably transferring

That was the same play calling we’ve seen all season. What game were you watching?

I agree, that looked like the same bunched up arse stuff as usual

I watched Pit beat Miami at the end of this year. They ran Canada's offense to perfection. Lots more movement. Lot more dynamic. This guy is miserable here. Either someone else was calling the offense or Canada was trying to appease O.

Or Notre Dane figured it out and we were limited.

^ This. I think having a young O Line that was constantly in flux and a young WR corps put us behind the 8 ball early, and then the crap with him and O started. I watched those same games, and we never looked that good running his system.

He was only at Pitt for one season. If it takes two years to install, that wasn’t the Canada offense.

Telling in what way?
It honestly has no meaning other than a classy gesture by a college kid.

Pitt also had a lot of upperclassmen and an O Line that was tailor made for what he likes to do. That helps a lot.
I’m pretty sure Canada admitted during our early season struggles that they had to simplify because the young guys were struggling to pick his system up and learn all of the plays. The WRs were specifically called out. I think Chark or Gage said that every WR had to learn all the potential routes for every play before the season. Their routes would change depending on the shifts that were called.
I think if you put Canada with the previous year’s line and WR corps, it would have worked beautifully. Too bad college football doesn’t work that way. We haven’t had things line up right for a single team since 2011. That isn’t an accident, either. When things are constantly “a year away,” it’s a sign of unbalanced recruiting and program management. I have a hard time believing that is changing. I like the direction of this recruiting class, but the chaos everywhere else in the program is troubling.

Sad to see the players get caught up and catch the brunt of their head coach's political maneuverings to save his own arse for another year.

Im glad Etling is done

this ^^^^^^^^^^^^
ND game planned for and stopped the jet sweep, that was the only play canada has (well 90% anyway) so that ended any chance we had.
one reason im not sad to see canada go, he wasnt the great OC mind he was sold to us as even though he did have decent success with it while he was here

JMc is lobbying for Canada to take him with him.
Posted on 1/2/18 at 5:25 pm to keakar
All I can remember was one jet sweep to Gage for around 8 yards, so it's not that Norte Dame was stoping it. It just appeared that we were not calling Jet Sweeps for this game.
Posted on 1/2/18 at 7:18 pm to keakar
So 90% of his plays are jet sweeps? Lmao.
Do you know what plays are run off of those? Linked plays?
You know how I know you don’t know wtf ur talking about???
