What is surprising to me is Jimbo having trouble in the ACC.

It's just Finebaum.
Does anybody at LSU take him seriously?
Does anybody outside Alabama?

Ppl started to wake up and realize herman cant compete with saban..

And Jimbo can?

Saban has never lost to any head coach that was one of his assistants.

I don't think this is the final word, but I would be okay with Jimbo if that is the final choice. I still think Herman has more upside, but is more risky. Jimbo and Herman are the only ones that would be worth dumping Orgeron for (assuming he has a good offensive coordinator plan.)

As well as a terrible defensive coordinator.

If ed Orgeron is offered the lsu job then i dont ever want anyone to say how coveted the lsu job is again. If we hire a 55 year old dline coach then no one can ever say how every coach wluld be dying to coach at lsu.

Last time LSU hired a coach that gave up 60 was Gerry DiNardo.

LSU is a top 5 job if O is offered the job or not!!!!! All it means is that JA believes O gives the Tiger's the best chance for success. As of now its Jimbo if that's falls through then we shall see.

It was Jimbo when Miles "flirted" wth Arkansas. It was Jimbo last November. It was Jimbo this September. It's Jimbo now and it will be Jimbo until LSU is faced with the decision to write or not write the check. It has never, is not and won't be more complicated than that.

You mean the terrible acc? The conference with 2 good teams? And yet FSU still can't win? Yes, let's get jimbo. So he can lose 4 games a year in the sec

You ever figured out why FSU is having issues? Fisher lost Pruitt to bama who isn't known for throwing bags of money at assistants. Because of lack of money to hire
A top notch DC, fisher had to settle on Charles Kelly his special teams coach. Lsu pays D. Craig more than FSU pays it's cordinators. And LSU's DC and OC make like a million more. Also their facilities are stuck in the 90s. Their boosters and admin are self entitled and think hey we are FSU attitudes. There is FSU's problem, their D and lack of assets being allocated to fisher. But blame Fisher Right? who would you hire over fisher?

It is Jimbo Fisher, if he turns it down LSU will offer the job to Coach O

For weeks now this has appeared to be the narrative from the "sources". While I tend to believe this, too much smoke for there not to be a fire, it proves that this was really not a "coaching search". They basically are pushing for the guy they wanted last year and their back up plan is a guy that was already on the staff. The other names are BS names with zero legitimacy. Unless O drops another game we will either have Fisher (if they agree on money) or O.

It only gets complicated if O drops another game and Fisher is just playing LSU for a raise...

If we keep Aranda I don't see this being an issue.

And yet fisher chose to stay at FSU then Coming to lsu last season. He had a Heisman QB and won a NC, that they should have lost, and has done nothing since. in an embarrassingly weak conferences.
