Has he? I would say good, not elite after his first USC stint from 1998-2004. Early on at Miami and USC, his D-lines were elite, though.

we are paying the man to coach football. not anything more, not anything less. I will never understand why people get so up in arms on this or the amount we pay coaches...its not my money nor my life so why care?

He quit giving a shite, made terrible hires after basically pushing his best coach out the door, and let half of the Title IX bullshite happen under his nose. He also ran his mouth in public about shite he didn’t need to be talking about, such as attempts to hire coaches that ultimately failed and admitting that Kiffin tipped him off to how poorly the defense was being called after beating him.

I could go on, but he fricked up everything he touched in 20 and 21. You idiots can just block all of that out if you want, but he shouldn’t be trusted. He’s absolutely earned a tight leash if he’s allowed back. But again, there’s only so much he can frick up as a position coach, so it should be ok as long as he’s decided to give a shite about his job again.

Truth be told- Lane can’t be trusted one bit either. Just win games and don’t go to jail.

Picture this, it's year 3, Lane has gone 9-3, 10-2, and has struggled out of the gate to start the season with high expectations, he gets left on the tarmac in Oxford after losing to Ole Miss. LSU has a 2-2 record and promotes, wait for it, Coach O, to interim. The players love him, and he ends the season on a 6-2 run. He ends every on-field interview with a resounding "geaux tigahs". The vibes are so high that he gets promoted to permanent head coach.

This move rips open a hole into the space-time continuum. The world is thrown into chaos as everyone seemingly starts living days in reverse at a breakneck pace. This continues for a time, until society finally washes up on the shore of another era. The date? May 27th, 2016. There is a 3-year old boy planning to make a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo the next day, he must be stopped.

If there were still rules about recruiting, id be worried about Coach O as recruiting coordinator teamed up with LK. Sanctions would be coming sooner than later. But in the wild west era we have now, we should be golden.
