If we hire Fisher and keep Aranda, we will have no worse than the 2nd best coaching staff in the SEC from day 1. When's the last time we could say that?

I'm with you Chesty. Jimbo is a fallacy. You know who else had a natty title and top 5 recruiting classes? Les Miles. You want him back? Jimbo coaches in a weak conference. Clemson is now the top team. Clemson. Jimbo had Winston and that made everyone think he was a QB guru. Don't give me that EJ Manuel and Christian Ponder crap. They sucked. Jarett Lee would have done just as well as those two if given a chance. If FSU was in the SEC they would have 2 losses or more every year. We cannot pay Jimbo the big bucks to come here. Just dumb. Flame on.

I like the optimism. But it's still a really tall order. And then aranda leaves after next year and who knows what happens on defense.
Jimbo's teams haven't been very good on D. That's worrisome.

Yep and LSU did better than just about any other team that played them.
Yeah, offense needs work, but I'm not sure that you can put in a competent pro style passing offense mid season.
I think if Orgeron destroys TAMU and FLA this week, he moves up to 2nd place on the list. My preference for first would be Gundy if he was willing. He's just as good as Fisher on the offense end....and not as big a douche.
