So what was the point of having Jerry Sullivan on staff then?

Well, he was supposed to be that guy.

But apparently the last time "Mr. Max Protection" had a relevant and effective coaching style, Steve Largent was a WR.

Shea said Robiskie isn't even in consideration.

He said he didn't know, tight lipped, but that he confirmed Robiskie is not a candidate

Can we please stop the old NFL coach to LSU bullshite? He's a career NFL coach that has been coaching WRs at the top of their game after 3-4 years in college. We have a lot of athletes that need to be worked on from the ground up, not just polished.

and he can also recruit
How do you know? Okay he's a Nola boy, great we haven't had problems getting Nola talent and we already have Louisiana boy Mickey Joseph. We don't have problems getting WR talent either.

How about going after a QB coach or lower tier OC/QB coach who we can "groom" to take over for Ensminger?

I agree with you. I want an "upcoming" or even established OC/QB/WR coach that is familiar with COLLEGE. NFL coaches usually just polish or fine tune skill, while we need someone to help mold our receivers from the ground up. Someone that will relate to the players instead of just business. We are gonna need someone to stick and develop the offense with Ensminger and then potentially takeover when E decides he is done.

I wasn't the one who said he was coming.
I said it surprised me and I hadn't heard it.

And it's common sense that he could recruit.
He is a fooking wide receiver coach in the NFL.
Most of those guys are loved by the players and recruiting is about building relationships.

Why couldn't you figure that out on your own

Wait so you don't think terry robiskie teaches wide receivers anything in the NFL?

He just "polishes" them?
He made Isaiah McKenzie and a couple of other no name receivers decent by the end of the year in buffalo

The point is moot because he isn't coming but my point stands that he is a very very good wide receiver coach who knows his shite

John morton has coached and been a oc for usc from 2009-2010 and he's been a wr coach at usc from 2008-2009. He was with the Jets in 2017 as oc and as qb coach. He is big time coach

These are not qualifications for coaching at LSU.

So, he'd leave an OC position to be our WR coach?

This guy is a troll. Or just an idiot, I’m not sure which. He guaranteed Sarkisian was coming to run the offense a few weeks ago.
