Not saying he’s coming here, just thought it was interesting!

Joe Brady deflects LSU coaching talk: "After seasons I think about those things, but right now I gotta do a better job at being offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers." Says he hasn't reached out to Ed Orgeron but had a great experience at LSU. #Panthers #KeepPounding

He ain’t coming. He hated recruiting. I don’t want a coach who hates recruiting

It’s crazy that he hates to recruit, but if he didn’t leave we’d have the best qb in the country.

People worry about Aranda or Napier not being ready to take over a big time program. What makes anyone think Brady would be ready. Being able to come up with an innovative offense does not make one a great head coaching candidate.

He won’t be offered. He basically has 1 year of college coaching experience, so he won’t be getting any major college HC job. NFL HC job?… sure, maybe, that’s possible if not inevitable, but no way he’ll be getting a college HC job.

Way too much more to it in college than X’s and O’s than in the NFL. Gotta have experience and be able to successfully do the 600+ things that are required off the field.

You don't have to like it, you have to be willing to do it. With a good enough staff he could easily close on guys, he did it in the one year he was at LSU.

I don't think he would be the guy, just saying.

But seriously isn't there a better chance of him becoming an NFL HC?

Totally disagree. He's going to make a great head coach at the college or NFL level really soon.

The only issue I have with him coming to LSU is bolting for the NFL after two national championships within 5 years.

Hard to say. If he feels like he is a top candidate for an NFL head coaching job there is little chance Woodward can pull him to LSU. On the other hand if the landscape of potential coaching vacancies is not advantageous to Brady, Woodward might be able to pull him.

Brady is a smart kid, he's just increasing his value by saying nothing.

He answered the question like a professional not like the idiots Debo and Jimbo but he isn’t coming.

I really don't get the posters who say he is a can't miss great HC. He came into a program with JB, JJ, JC and CEH...all NFL 1st rounders who have been really good their first few yrs in NFL. Will he become a great coach? possibly but 1 yr paired with the athletes we had and SE doesn't guarantee anything.

I don't see what makes him much different from Lincoln Riley before he got hired.

Riley had a little more experience but Brady has the NFL experience.

The recruiting thing could be fine if he got someone like a less retarded O on staff.

LSU will recruit itself and his offense will bring in the talent. Obviously, he would need an ace DC.

I want him but kind of rather him to go to the Bengals as head coach

Bengals need to stumble, fire Taylor, draft Stingley, hire Brady. Run it back with the 2019 squad

Would love the hire but not if he's got one foot out the door with the NFL every season
If the NFL is his preferred destination he needs to stay there
He was definitely on the fast track but can Carolina get him there?
Being a college head coach is a lot different than his previous role at LSU
But if Riley can call plays and manage that side of it than he could to but he would have to find someone to run the defense which has hurt Riley at Oklahoma

There is so much more to the college game than calling plays on offense.

Not saying Brady can’t do it, but managing an entire program is a far cry from Brady’s role in 2019.

We are LSU. We are not looking for a project Head Coach, we’re looking for someone with experience and a proven product.
