This seems like just more Saban conspiracy theory with no teeth to back it up.

Maybe I shouldn't have used Saban in this.
Sexton could easily be paid to not get a coach a job as he could to get a coach a job. No evidence he does that.
However I think he represents to many coaches in the same conference.

I know some think ever single lawyer is scum but no one wants to get that type of letter from the bar.

Fisher still being employed by FSU probably doesn't speak with other potential schools directly. His contact would be through Sexton only, at least at first. This would be true for other openings. Sexton controls what both sides hear. It's likely he has more control that some think. Maybe less than I suspect.

Sexton has a fiduciary duty to present offers to his clients. He also has a fiduciary duty to listen to his client and do what he is told to do. For instance, Texas A&M's AD can't call Sexton, say he wants to speak with Fisher about their job opening and have Sexton turn down the offer without (a) reporting the offer/interest to Fisher and (b) getting authority from Fisher to decline.

Furthermore, if (ex A&M) makes an offer Sexton is OBLIGATED to accurately report that offer to his client for his client's consideration and ultimate decision. Sexton can't lie or falsely report the offer to his client. Otherwise, his client would have a significant legal cause of action against him for breach of fiduciary duty. He can bluff and posture in negotiations with the AD's. But he CAN'T fail to report an offer OR lie to his client.

You should try some tin foil, stops your brain from burning.

And if you bother to research it has been brought up around the country. Specially after Sexton
made the statement about many coaches not wanting any part of the SEC.

Pretty sure you have to be a lawyer to get disbarred.

Nothing LSU about it. As of today LSU has no openings for coaches. Questions about Sexton's conflict of interest has been going on for years.

This year is just more proof that Saban has ruined college football.

Saban has been good for college football. Can't say the same for some douches from his school posting on this board though.

Have considered that point (indirectly). But with as exciting as the past couple of days have been, I've got to say I'm fine with it. Whether it be indirect involvement just from being so dayum good, or direct involvement aka the tin foil hat Sexton theory in the OP.

Example of Sexton's conflict of interest:

UT's AD Hamilton had Sexton as his agent. Sexton is the agent for Kiffin, Dooley and more recently Jones.

When the guy doing the hiring shares an agent with the guy he hires, and when the agent was responsible for clauses in the contract of a previous coach (Fulmer), there is a conflict of interest and the company that employs them got less than it should have via its AD.

I would be very surprised if Jimbo goes to A&M. His buyout just got upped last year to 40 mil with the extension. So unless they're going to pay him 7-8 mil a year plus a ridiculous buyout, he's not going anywhere. Also, FSU can't really fire him at this point.

I agree it looks like Sexton is just doing his thing.

Fisher is about to get Saban money coming off a 6-6 year. Only Sexton could do that.

He also has a team that 100% quit on him this year, so he is trying to get out and get a mega-pay day while the getting is good. He also had a team last year that quit on him during the Louisville game and got blown out by 40 points to a team that we dominated, and has a team that didn't shake the Oregon team's hands after they got blown out by the Duck in the Rose Bowl which was called out. I think Jimbo is a good (not great) coach who does not build high character with his teams. This is an expensive crap shoot for the Aggies.

I can't speak for Fla, Ark and South Carolina.

But LSU and Tenn ended up where they are because of a bad combination of arrogance and incompetence from their AD.
