I'd have a hard time hiring a guy that goes by "Jimbo".

Let alone for 9 mil a year.

I imagine he’s feeling like Ed Orgeron today. “What door do you want me to go out of, brother?”

Jim I probably doesn’t know it yet. Sobering up takes time.

The universities brought this on themselves. They took the bait from agents and ate the cheese only to get caught in the trap. They hire coaches for outrageous salaries and they lose. Why can't the structure it for RESULTS like the real world. Imagine Jimbo walking away sad he just got fired like the normal worker of today. $70M plus. Univiersities better start playing tougher with these agents. I been saying this and get downvoted bc people say you gotta do that to get the coaches. IF the coach is that good you structure the contract to pay them for their great seasons and championships after they perform. Pay them WELL then.

How many of the ludicrously too big salaries were negotiated by Jimmy Sexton of Memphis?

How many of the AD's was Sexton negotiating with who were ALSO his clients? Besides the recently deceased former AD of Tennessee, Mike Hamilton?
