The story in that article sounds like any other story you would hear about an up and comer paying his dues.
People who used that story to try and say Kelly is a guy running around trying to shite on everyone is either dumb or just wants to see that.

I think people are missing the headline that Kelly had two NFL HCs as GAs and assistants and helped them develop into NFL head coaches before they turned 40

I don't get the witch hunt against Kelly. It's not his fault that it was leaked before he could tell the team. He's not poaching kids he recruited for Notre Dame like Lincoln Riley. I'm biased, but LR is the one who should be under the microscope.

This Saleh story has been rehashed, ad nauseum, on Morning Men, Mark Packers show, Tom Bynes radio show, and Mad Dog Sports. I've seen it again in articles and tweets from "journalists".

I firmly believe it's because us dirty Southerners aren't supposed to take coaches away from places like Notre Dame. "It's just not right!"
Anyway, I really hope you guys get a superstar (or one in the making) to replace Riley. You deserve it.

So when a coach leaves a media darling like Notre Dame for a "backwards southern school", the lame stream media digs dirt from 150 years ago? If it was the other way around you wouldn't hear a peep.

Its easy... where were all these detractors while he was a ND? They were riding his sack and saying how wonderful he was! He leaves and now he is an a-hole... couldn't win the big games...etc. You don't hear CBK bashing players, schools, etc. He has been nothing but complementary of ND and the players, so all the negativity is just butt hurt if you ask me! CBK is probably demanding and has high expectations, sometimes that doesn't sit well with people. There is another coach that comes across irritated and bit of an a-hole. Funny thing, winning shuts all those mouths up.
