Last year was his first away from the NFL in 25 years. He’s an upgrade to our current WR coach.

Sullivan has been coaching for years. How often does a guy coach as long as him and only coaches 1 position? He has been a WR's coach at every stop. Isn't that a little unusual. With that long of a track record wouldn't at some point he would have had opportunities to enhance his career as an OC at some point?

He was OC of the Cardinals in 2003.

He was an OC for the Arizona Cardinals in 2003 and failed in that position.
But you know, we're just supposed to believe the "he's a good coach" bs. Been a WR coach his entire career...Coach O must think we're stupid.
This guy likely wants a few more bucks for his family before he retires and Coach O gave him the perfect opportunity.

Not to mention he's been out of college football for 25 years? So even if he does recruit it can't be good.

Not defending it, it's just that your anger, understandable as it is, is misplaced. It's like you caught your wife cheating and you're pissed that the dude's not wearing a condom. There are much bigger issues here than Jerry Sullivan.

Since he has no experience recruiting in the last 25 years I guess he better do more than a good job. I don't really think WR coaching is the problem though.

He was not allowed to coach players or even have contact with players. Tremendous addition to the staff.
