Don't get me wrong, it's a good hire... I just thought Saban would tap someone younger who would be more likely to stick around for a few years (kinda like smart in 2007).
Gotta think Pruitt is two years at the most. Of course, Saban isn't getting any younger... so longterm decisions may not be in he thought process.

good hire by bama. my concern would be saban, who ultimately controls the d, letting pruitt have full reign. two very type a guys and pruitt insisting on his way. this is a reason jimbo let im walk without much fight. i just dont see it.

Commend Bama on this move, CFB is a business and this is a good business move, this is why we continued to get laughed at, this is how to handle losing the best defensive coordinator in the conference the last 7 years by quickly reloading with equal or better as a replacement.
