He is no longer coaching SMU in their bowl game and now new HC Sonny Dykes will coach.
Hate to say it but he sure sounds butthurt he didn't get the HC job to run off after he already agreed to coach.

Probably so but it still screams that he got mad and left his players out to dry. They were all over Twitter stumping for him saying he changed their lives and he runs out on them like this?

That changes when you are offered a Power 5 Job in the SEC and told that the early signing period is right around the corner....
He is known for his recruiting ability... He needs to get to the hill and show off!

It doesn't matter that Morris brought him along. It's pretty clear he knew that would happen if he didn't get the HC job at SMU. He never should have accepted the interim tag for the bowl knowing that he'd be gone unless he was the new HC. This makes him look like an arse.

he obviously accepted the interim tag until SMU hired a new coach. they hired dykes, so he came to Arkansas. nothing personal
the players got their feelings hurt because reality set in. it's a business. the kids should know this, but they obviously would have preferred to be coached by Traylor.
