Cook would be a fine coach at ULL, but the problem is that Notre Dame is probably already paying him what ULL would pay him. Plus he's got every Catholic football player in Acadia Parish to choose from for his team. I doubt if Louie would even take the job at ULL

Our next coach is probably going to make around $500,000... you don't really think Cook is making 500 thousand dollars do you?

I wont argue numbers, but I would think that ND, STM and Teurlings pay their coaches VERY WELL! along with who knows what "side benefits"
Chepantier at Teurlings is another fine coach who would also do well

A high school coach is not going to get the job, man. Look at what happened with Todd Dodge at North Texas, it was an epic fail. Not going to happen.

Louis was the OC at USL yes in the past.

OK
Then who would you like to see go to ULL?

Mark Hudspeth or Garrick McGee

That's almost $200,000 more than the average Sun Belt coach is making. When I was looking up salaries, it said the lowest Sun Belt head coaching salary was $160K at ULM and the highest was $383K and $403K at FIU and FAU. However, the next highest were $320K, $281K, $279K and $259K.

Define very well. I can promise you that they aren't even close to 100K.

We already have the highest paid coordinators and we have funding from the RCAF with funds coming in. Apparently people are willing to pony up dough for the next coach. Of course this is all speculation, but I think we have the capabilities for ~450k.

The best coaches in Acadiana are now and will in the future be in the high schools.

how about viator from mcneese?
cannot understand why louisiana schools, ulm, latech & ull tulane try to go big time!
if you make it one year becuase LSU is down - you lose your coach to the big boys & you are shite again
do as mcneese - they draw more than everyone but lsu and make money and have pride

I think Orgeron would be a perfect fit for you guys. He is an awesome recruiter and about as Cajun as you can get. It's too bad that y'all don't have the money to pay him. I think he would love to coach there.

Yeah, no other team should try to be good or anything. Do you realize how dumb that sounds? It's a good thing if a mid major's coach leaves for a better job, that makes the mid major a more attractive job.

Orgeron is pricing himself out of a head coaching job. He's not going to get another major job unless he wins at a smaller school.
