Woodward would not follow up the hiring of Mulkey (multiple final 4s and title) and Johnson (multiple trips to Omaha), with a coach for the most prominent sport on campus that has an overall record barely above .500, conference record well below .500, and no conference or division titles under their belt.

The fact that Doucet "respects" someone isn't especially meaningful unless that guy is in a position to know what's going on and is willing to compromise that position by sharing it with a reporter (which would tend to cut against his being worthy of respect).
