Imagine Aranda running the show and the defense... and bringing in someone like Herman to run the offense...

Dave’s family assimilated very well in BR and had to be pried away. They would return to BR in a heartbeat.

Dave also nicely checks off Tate’s wishes.

The extra they would spend on Riley they can use to get the best offensive coordinator in America.

There's a big difference. Aranda is smart enough to know who the best coordinators are, and he's respected enough that they'll come work for him. Hell, he's close with Herman. That would be a fine tandem.

Aranda is going to USC. He doesn’t want to live in Baton Rouge again.

And how many overtimes were in that game? Plus, if I recall correctly, our secondary depth was severely depleted in that game.

His defenses will always keep you in games.

Is it just me or does anyone else remember cussing Aranda out for not being able to get off the field in a lot of games? I think he’s a great defensive mind but don’t think he ever had a top defense in SEC during his tenure at LSU.

That defense was still good enough and got dominant at the end of the season

31st ranked defense in 2019. You better bring in plenty offense

That’s because we were scoring like gang busters you moron. Defenses play more lax and the other team has more opportunities when Burrow is scoring in 2:00 drives

Yeah, we cussed out Aranda for giving up too many points in games we won easily in 2019. Personally, I think he was working on teaching our guys to play zone, which is something they've never been to good with. But when we reached the SECCG and the playoffs, he turned his defense loose on people. They did extremely well against the top offenses in the country. I will take that any year. Give me Dave!

Aranda > Tucker

So sick of people who say Aranda is not better than Tucker.

As a coach and defensive mind, yes, he is.

Bro Riley is an exceptional coach. One game doesn't change that. Put down the pipe. That being said, either coach would be solid.

Are you serious?

That game should have never even went to OT. LSU should have won in regulation when Mond's knee was down.

Both defenses were gassed in OT.
