I’ve never watched USL play, but from what I’m reading Napier seems to be a good coach

I’m ok with giving him a shot if Riley and Aranda decline

He is a good coach. I would say even a great coach.

You still don’t hire him unless Riley, Aranda, and a few others say no.

He’s not a bad fall back option at all

HELL NO! I saw his arse out-coached twice this season. He will a third time by Freeze.

So you're saying 'you've heard good things'. Well, that's good enough for me, get out the checkbook!

He lost the first game of the year on the road at Texas. Granted, Texas is bad but it was the first game and on the road. After that, he has won 9 straight. That’s not too bad in my opinion.

Why not? They've been on national TV several times a year the past few years, mostly midweek games, too. Do you not like to actually watch football?

So you must hate Campbell too.

ANd he did beat Freeze in their previous meeting, though Freeze has a better team now.

They played one common opponent, Troy. Liberty won 21-13. ULL won 35-21. Not sure if that is an indicator, though only playing the game can determine the outcome, obviously.

But lets pretend Napier sucks and all the coaches he has beaten are so much better than he is.

You now it's OK to not want a coach without pretending like he sucks.

I just watch the SEC. Everybody else looks like high school games

I have followed ULL since 2018. My daughter is in their band.

Napier's players play hard and usually play with discipline and poise. They appear well coached in execution. Napier recruits well. Napier does make, on average, one head scratcher decision a game. That is one area that does concern me.

All in all, he is likely the best 3rd option LSU has right now.

I’ve seen Riley outcoached more than twice this season.

I’ve seen Aranda get outcoached by an interim coach this season.

Saban got outcoached by Jimbo.

Jimbo got outcoached by Pittman.

At least Riley and Napier won the games they were outcoached. Winning.

See how that works? How long have you been watching football, sports in general?

Not to crack on you, but be consistent.

And for the record I’d love Riley or Aranda at LSU.

An average of only 1 per game I’d say is pretty impressive, honestly.

He is a great coach and would do really well here in BE....but I don't think SW is going in that direction.

Napier will succeed, and soon!
