That makes a lot more sense. Heupel tried to hire him as the Vols DC and he turned the job down. Was a DC at Pitt and Kentucky before jumping to the Chiefs.

I have not outed anyone, I was simply told it was the Chiefs LB coach. And I did not realize they had 2 LB coaches and I mistakenly said it was the wrong one. Which was my fault, my source never said a name, just “Chiefs LB Coach”. When I realized I said the wrong guy I corrected my mistake. I put in the OP what happened and why I changed it. I didn’t just randomly change it and not explain why.

Stoops said he left Kentucky because of the time commitment college is compared to the NFL. Sounds like Kentucky wanted to keep him. If true, wonder why he would want to get back in the college game. Guess LSU is too hard to pass up. Plus our LSU boys at KC prolly pushing him.

He had been in college for like 8 consecutive seasons to that point. No shame in taking a few years, win a super bowl, spend more time with family then jump back in the college game. Peoples lives change, if it is him, I have no doubt he will be committed to recruiting.
